Hardwood Basketball has earned a reputation for excellence. Our Colorado basketball club team, Hardwood Elite, competes at the highest levels, winning titles like the 3SSB 2023 National Championship. As an Adidas-sponsored club program, we compete with the nation’s best, developing players who thrive in high school, college, and beyond. Recognized by top university scouts for our team culture, we’ve helped many athletes—both our club players and our trainees—secure D1 scholarships. Hardwood Basketball remains a leader in competitive basketball.
Derek Griffin, a West Michigan basketball standout, is the founder of Hardwood Elite, an Adidas-sponsored youth basketball program in Colorado. After his collegiate career, Griffin was hired by the Denver Nuggets to develop and execute a youth basketball program in Colorado. Concurrently, he played 3×3 basketball for USA Basketball, winning two national championships and earning MVP honors in the 2016 championship. Leveraging his professional experiences, Griffin established Hardwood Elite, which offers world-class training, skill development, and coaching. The program fields teams in the Adidas 3SSB circuit, providing elevated exposure for players aiming for collegiate careers. Griffin’s commitment to fostering talent has positioned Hardwood Elite as Colorado’s premier basketball program, dedicated to altering the culture of youth basketball through comprehensive development and competitive opportunities.
